Artistic Expression.
To some it's all they have.
To others it's something they would give their soul to have.
Artistic Expression.
A blessing or a curse?
Some people, they can paint beautiful paintings, pulled straight from their brain and put on canvas. Some, the pen is their weapon of choice. They can create amazing songs, poems, stories, and anything else that springs forth, and it'll be thought-provoking and fantastic.
To some, this is just a gift that they have and can use at their will.
To others, it's all they have.
Someone may not be able to express themselves in words to someone they care about, but can produce a great picture spilling forth everything that our dear tortured artist could be suffering from.
A picture speaks a thousand words..
Imagination. It opens worlds, creates possibilities, saves or condemns.
It's a beautiful thing.
But some choose to destroy it, take away a secret world of their own, and what's left?
Reality. Cold, dull, uninteresting reality.
Why live in a world of responsibility when you can be truly free?
The artists, the creators, they change the world. They dare to go where noone else will go, to explore the unknown. It may fear some, it may fascinate some, but either way, they provoke a reaction with their work, they make you think.
Think of a painter. They show you their soul on canvas. Spend hours creating, fixing mistakes, trying to think how to put their thoughts into a picture, and in the end all that's left is that. You're meant to find something that can relate to you in it, and interpret it however you think it should be. The artist doesn't tell you how to feel or what to think about it, the art is meant to speak for itself.
Some artists don't just make a career from what they make. They live it. They'll put themselves under certain circumstances to create different effects, perhaps trying to come up with something more obscure and unusual. They "suffer for their art" quite literally sometimes.
Could you do that?
